Working with hardwoods carefully selected from environmentally sustainable sources, our range of cabinets and worktops include walnut, oak, cherry, ash, sycamore, beech, maple and chestnut all available in a choice of finishes. Softwoods such as pine may also be used. Hand painted furniture is created from tulip wood and other components and can be finished in a pallet of your choice for that individual feel.
Whether you require a freestanding or fitted kitchen we can provide the cabinets and the door styles to suit all tastes; from simple Shaker to classic beaded, from raised and fielded to contemporary flat doors.
Elegant curved units not only look beautiful but also avoid harsh angles and improve the flow of cabinetry around the room. With this in mind we regularly produce convex, concave and bow fronted cabinets and chopping block stands for the discerning client.
Elaborate or simple mantles, feature columns, wine racks, glazed doors, plate racks, appliance cabinets, pull out storage cabinets and many more ancillary items are manufactured to your specifications. Complementary elements such as dressers and versatile multi-functional cabinets enhance any kitchen and we can supply additional touches such as carvings, crockery pegs and bread drawers.
Bedrooms, dressing rooms and other rooms
Whether an opulent and luxurious retreat or a range of practical storage solutions is required we can manufacture bedroom furniture to fulfil your clients needs. Our bespoke freestanding or fitted wardrobes are hand built specifically to make the most of the space and proportions available. Doors can be solid, mirrored or glazed to suit your client’s needs. Interiors can be left completely traditional with hanging rail and shelves or with the practical additions of internal drawers, shoe racks and wire mechanisms.
Dressing tables, mirrors, bedside cabinets, drawers, blanket boxes and window seats provide invaluable storage as well as being beautiful pieces of furniture.
In addition to kitchens and bedrooms Old Forge Furniture Ltd can also offer bespoke furniture for other rooms in the house. Whether it be a full library or study, a simple bookcase, a computer station or a traditional study desk, a practical television cabinet or an elegant china cupboard we can hand build whatever your client requires.
For the bathroom we can create elegant washstands, bathing enclosures and custom made cabinets to display favourite toiletries making bathing a self indulgent delight.
Joinery elements
Old Forge Furniture Ltd also has the manufacturing expertise to offer clients bespoke internal and external doors and both traditional and modern timber windows (including sliding box sash). We are also able to provide architrave and wall skirting to complement the new furniture or match with existing elements.
